That’s a wrap! Pens are down, the school year is officially over, and it is time to catch your breath and reflect on a year of hard work and data-led achievement. This year held many highlights for the DDD team: rolling out the new Valistractor; running in-depth intervention support programmes across the provinces; hosting the first Data Summit in five years; and seeing the highest number of active DDD Dashboard users in the history of the programme … and it’s all thanks to you.

From all of us at DDD, thank you for embracing each new feature on the dashboard (including this week’s enhancement to the School Achievement Report, which now enables you to compare report mark pass rates with common test/task pass rates). Thank you, too, for always sharing your input through our surveys, testing sessions, weekly webinars and helpdesk calls. Your honest feedback is our north star!

We can’t say it enough: thank you for an incredible year. Your dedication and commitment to your learners, and your support and advocacy for using data to improve our education system, is seen and appreciated.

This festive season, we hope you are able to spend quality time with the ones you love most, and have a safe and peaceful holiday. But don’t stop reading just yet. Scroll down for three DDD things you need to “know before you go”…

  #3 ONLINE, ALL THE TIME
DDD online throughout Dec
DDD webinars kick off the week after schools do, starting with a refresh on how to submit your final-term data, on 23 and 24 January. If you’re a school official, note that Thursday webinars are now from 3-4pm while Friday sessions remain at 12-1pm. Booking links will be posted on the DDD website, the Learning Hub, and sent to your inbox.   To help you start 2025 on a strong data footing after the NSC results announcement, our first edition of DataPoint newsletter will include a summary of the most important things you should be doing on the DDD Dashboard to set yourself (and your learners) up for success in the new year. The newsletter comes out on 24 January – don’t miss it.   If you are looking to catch up on DDD Learning Hub courses, or want to spend some quiet time fine-tuning your dashboard skills, or are keen to get some early data analysis done ahead of the new year, then DDD is here for you! The dashboard and Learning Hub will be live and accessible throughout the entire holiday season, for all users.
