Opportunities and ResourcesRound 3 of our Community Project Grants is now open! Got a great idea to help neighbours connect and build stronger communities? We're inviting community organisations to apply for funding to support events, projects or programs that deliver long term outcomes, exclusively aligned to Neighbour Day, happening in March 2026. 💰 Partnership projects: Up to $10,000 #BelongingEveryDay #NeighbourDay2026 #ND2026 A free tool to get your community organisation disaster ready! Neighbourhood Centres Queensland has launched the Resilience Readiness Scorecard - a free, easy-to-use online tool designed for community groups, organisations and services who support communities through times of disaster. Co-designed with Queensland Neighbourhood Centres and backed by national research, the tool encourages meaningful conversations and practical planning. Whether you're a small group or a larger service, set aside an hour, gather your team, and give it a go. Share it with your networks to help build resilience across communities. Empowering inclusive workplaces with free support re:think dyslexia, a neurodivergent-led social enterprise, offers free support through the federally funded JobAccess program to help workplaces become more inclusive. Their Neurodivergent Employment Support program provides tailored advice, workplace adjustments, and training to support employees with dyslexia, ADHD, autism and other cognitive differences. It’s all about helping people thrive at work - boosting confidence, performance and wellbeing across the board. Input needed: Logan Youth Employment Survey The Logan Youth Employment Body (LYEB) wants to hear from local businesses about hiring young people (15-25 years old) in Logan. By filling out the Logan Youth Employment Survey, you can help make better job and training options for young people in our area. Your ideas will help create more chances for local youth. Community EventsWaste & Recycling Pop-up Stand Join Logan City Council’s Waste Education team at the Hyperdome for a fun, hands-on pop-up to celebrate National Recycling Week! Learn what goes in each bin, pick up simple recycling tips, and take part in interactive games that make waste education easy and enjoyable for all ages. Whether you’re a curious kid or an eco-conscious adult, you’ll leave ready to recycle right. Best of all, t’s completely FREE! When: Monday 10 November to Friday 14 November, 9am to 5pm daily
Live Up Information Session Amputees Qld, together with the team from Live Up, invites senior community members in Logan to discover the services available to help them stay connected, active, and engaged - supporting independent living for longer. Find out about childcare benefits and parent support in Logan Multicultural Mailer invites community members to two free information sessions for parents - both happening on the same day and at the same location! The Services Australia Information Session will cover childcare benefits, payments, eligibility, and how to apply for government support. The Parent Pathway session is for parents with children under six who are not in paid employment, offering guidance on childcare, financial assistance, and community services. Both sessions include real-time Q&A with qualified mentors. When: Friday 31

Community ProgramsFamily and Community Place, Yarrabilba The Family and Community Place is a vibrant child and family hub in Yarrabilba, connecting families to health, education, and social services that help them thrive. SQW - Certificate II in Work Skills and Vocational Pathways Settlement Services International (SSI) is now taking expressions of interest for their “People with a Purpose” Certificate II in Work Skills and Vocational Pathways. This nationally accredited course is proudly funded by the Queensland Government under the SQW initiative. It offers practical training and support to help eligible Logan residents gain the skills and confidence to enter or re-enter the workforce or pursue further education. FREE Heart Foundation walking at Crestmead or Heritage Park Looking to boost your health and connect with others? Join a Heart Foundation walking group in Logan! Walking groups in Crestmead and Heritage Park are welcoming new members who want to stay active and connected. Walking regularly can help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and some cancers. It also supports healthy weight, stronger bones, and better mental wellbeing. Funding OpportunitiesApplications are now open for the Empowering Queensland Women Grants Program. Funded by the Queensland Government, this program offers up to $10,000 for community groups and organisations to deliver projects, events, or resources that support women and girls across Queensland. This round focuses on initiatives that improve economic security and create opportunities for women to thrive. Applications close: 4pm, Thursday 30 October 2025 Applications are now open for the Honouring our Veterans Grants Program. This program supports Queensland organisations to deliver commemorative projects, events, and initiatives that honour veterans and their families. Funding is available for both community activities and capital works, helping to preserve the stories and contributions of veterans across the state. Eligible organisations are encouraged to apply and help keep veterans’ legacies alive. Applications close: 5pm, Friday 14 November 2025 Applications are now open for the Strengthening Communities Multicultural Queensland Program. This annual grant program supports projects that engage culturally and linguistically diverse communities, helping to build an inclusive, harmonious, and united Queensland. Funding of up to $100,000 is available for innovative community and youth projects in two categories: Empowering Multicultural Community (EMC) Projects, and Youth and Community Connection (Y&CC) Projects. Applications close: Tuesday 18 November 2025 Applications are now open for the Queensland Gives General Fund Capacity Building Grants. These grants support Queensland charitable organisations to strengthen their structures, systems, people, and skills, helping to deliver better outcomes for local communities. Eligible initiatives may include training, governance, volunteer support, and strategic planning. Grants of up to $40,000 are available for eligible DGR1-registered organisations.
