The Feather - November 2024 No images? Click here Fellow Arrowmen, Season's greetings, Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! I would like to take some time today to recognize all of our volunteers, who over the past several months have come out on numerous occasions for the benefit of not only the lodge but the Old North State Council as well. Throughout this year our lodge has provided over 11,000 service hours, breaking our goal of 9,000. I would like to thank every Arrowman new and old who was able to help complete this objective. As a reminder we have a winter camp workday coming up at the end of the month. Please continue to demonstrate your servant leadership by attending chapter meetings and staying active. Also, if you haven't already please mark your calendars for the 2025 Section E-8 Conclave, hosted at Cherokee Scout Reservation, April 11-13. This will be a once in a life-time opportunity for most scouts. Yours In Wimachtendienk, Grayson Cardwell Our lodge has a Winter Camp Work Day scheduled for November 30, 2024 that will take place at Cherokee Scout Reservation from 8am-4pm. Lunch will be provided. Please register using the following link: https://scoutingevent.com/070-novserviceday Have you Paid your 2024 Dues? If you are an Active OA Member with unpaid 2024 dues, it is important that you take care of this as soon as possible. Your participation, service hours, and other vital information is not recorded with the lodge unless you are current on dues. Plus, you will miss out on vital communications as those who are not paid up on dues will not receive emails from the Lodge Master system. Each year dues are processed by Dec. 15th so we can submit our re-charter to National. This also effects how many awards we can issue, the number of Vigil Honors we can submit, and our ranking within the Order. For your convivence, dues can be paid online at https://www.scoutingevent.com/070-oadues Quest For The Golden Dipper Our lodge's 2024 Brunswick Stew Fundraiser was a great success.
