Dear friend,

Portland Parks Foundation recently partnered with Lift UP and several other local nonprofits to create a community event in the South Park Blocks. While the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Delta Variant, many locally-based artists committed to promoting mutual aid groups and organizations that support racial equity, food access, and community support. We’re honored to share two videos featuring two fun, innovative artists that support our cause!

Lift UP is seeking a Gleaner!

To meet the growing need for food access in our community, Lift UP seeks a reliable and motivated Gleaner to assist with sourcing food for Lift UP’s programs. Primary duties include picking up thousands of pounds of food from community partners and transporting it to Preston's Pantry, the Lift UP Warehouse, and partner housing agencies as needed.

This position also delivers Lift UP food to residents in affordable housing within our service area. This position regularly communicates with volunteers, community partners, and clients at pickup and drop off sites and provides warehouse support. This position ensures sufficient, high-quality food inventory is consistently available for Lift UP to distribute.
