Dear Residents, Term 3 of the school year has begun, and I hope those of you with school children are settling back into your routine well. A new term means the return of regular programming at the Library, and our staff are excited to welcome back some of our littlest residents. Pre-school Storytime is back on Wednesdays at 10.30am, and Baby Bounce returns on Tuesdays at 10am, followed by Toddler Time on Tuesdays at 11am. All three of these wonderful sessions are free and designed to get you and your little ones reading, singing, moving and grooving! You can find out more on our website. Cr Benjamin Cai, Mayor of Strathfield Make a meaningful difference this National Homelessness Week National Homelessness Week is coming up, and Council is getting ready to host our annual Homelessness Food Appeal. From Wednesday 29 July Council will be accepting non-perishable food donations, like long life milk, rice and biscuits, from residents which will be donated directly to local charities, St Paul’s Church and St Merkorious Charity. Homebush Village Markets is Back Homebush Village Market is returning to The Crescent, Homebush on Saturday 1 August! Look forward to a morning filled with delicious food, market stalls, local makers, unique finds, sweet treats and plenty of community vibes.
