WELCOME BACK STUDENTS!
We are so grateful to have them back on campus refreshed and 'roaring' to get back into classes, recreation, and outdoor experiences. Thank you to all of the families who participated in the family-teacher conferences. We enjoy sharing with you and hearing from you about your students progress at Wasatch Academy.
FLU VACCINES
Dear Families, Flu shot season is here. The Wellness Center will be offering flu shots to anyone who would like to receive the vaccine on Saturday, October 28th from 9:00am-12:00pm.
If you would like your student to receive a flu shot, please fill out the Influenza Informed Consent Form then email the completed form to wellnesscenter@wasatchacademy.org. You may also review the Flu Vaccine Fact Sheet for more information. If you have provided us with your student's insurance information, we will submit it for coverage. Cost without insurance is $30.

THANKSGIVING BREAK
November 18th to 26th
For international students for whom traveling home is difficult during the break, there is a supervised excursion on a first-come, first-served basis. The total cost for the week is $1,400. Space is limited to 20 students who will stay in a vacation rental home for the week near Salt Lake City. For questions and to sign up, contact Melissa Davis by Wednesday, October 25th.
ASTRO & OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY IMMERSION
October 17th - 20th
Over three nights of camping in Moab, students will learn about night time photography, gaze at the stars, and connect with nature. They will have opportunities to photograph: - Moab Landscape Images
- The Milky Way
- Star Trails
- Arches National Park
UTAH HISTORY AND GOVERNMENT
October 18th - 20th
Students will have the opportunity to explore significant historic sites around Utah and learn more about our state government. Activities include: - A walking tour of our neighboring historic Spring City
- Tour the World War II Japanese American Relocation Center in Delta
- Visit the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City
- Tour the State Capitol and have a scavenger hunt
- Visit with the Governor's Senior Education Advisor, Brittany Cummins
Girls' Volleyball
In the 2A Region 16, our team is ranked #2 going into the State tournament! Follow the team's progress here. Watch this game live here! - Saturday, October 21st, at noon Home vs Freedom Preparatory Academy in the 1st round of State Tournament Games.
Athlete of the Week!
Cross Country athlete Jojo K. who came in 5th out of 40 runners in the State qualifying meet. He is heading to the State Tournament with teammate Karan M. on Tuesday, October 24th at 1:30pm at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. Go Tigers!

SNOWSPORTS
Snow is coming! Sign up your skiers/snowboarders for our Snowsports program. Our two options are the ten weekend Recreation Program and a three weekend "Just for Fun" at Brighton Resort. Click here for details on these programs. This information includes cost, dates and what is included. As time and snow permits, we will also go up to our Wasatch Academy Terrain Park on the Wasatch Plateau about 30 minutes from campus. Please email Snow Sports Coach, Chris
