The Laguntas Dance incorporated the 5 current indigenous players of the Richmond Tigers, standing tall, surrounded by their non-indigenous teammates in solidarity. The goosebumps reappear every time I see this image. Importantly, this wasn't a token gesture from the club 'doing the right thing'. It was a careful, considered and deliberate approach by a club that has proven over time their commitment to indigenous players and honouring the contribution of indigenous communities to the game of aussie rules football. ** We go global again in the pursuit of finding advocates supporting the protection and respect of Umpires and referees.
