Common Experience and Connection

The identification of common experience with others, individually or as a group, provides many benefits, both personal and professional.  It is something that humanizes and strengthens understanding.  It can also bolster and energize team, organization, and association cohesiveness, cooperation, and collaboration. Adversity, when commonly held, can also expand our community and often accelerate action towards common goals.

Work Group Updates

Conference Work Group:

The conference work group has received mixed results from the survey of possible attendance at the 2021 conference if held in-person.
 

  • No: 8
  • Yes: 4
  • Fairly certain pending travel approval: 7
  • Not sure at this time, but I will attend if I am permitted: 20
  • Total Responses: 39

The work group will be holding an important planning meeting on February 9th. If anyone has more input on the subject of holding an in-person conference vs. a virtual conference; please email Matt Ulberg at matthew.ulberg@montana.edu>

 

Innovation and Implementation Work Group Webinar:

Building a Better Mousetrap Competition for Your Locals

Wednesday, Feb 10, 2:00 – 3:30 pm EST

Join the Innovation and Implementation Work Group for a webinar focused on examples of successful BABM outreach and engagement efforts in North Dakota, Colorado, and Louisiana. Staff members from each center will present their keys to success. Webinar participants will have a chance to ask questions and share their own BABM successes and learning opportunities.
