Step out in nature and support Biodiversity Month!

Each September we celebrate our natural wonders and diverse ecosystems across Australia with Biodiversity Month. It’s an opportunity for individuals and communities to learn about the critical role biodiversity plays in maintaining ecological balance and supporting human well-being.

Throughout the month, you can learn about and support Logan's biodiversity through these various citizen science projects.

ONE SMALL CHANGE, ONE BIG IMPACT

For the last 7 years, bakers across Australia have been raising awareness of threatened native plants and animals through the Threatened Species Bake Off. The 2024 national competition is calling for edible creations that focus on the threatened
species at greatest risk of extinction.

Baked creations can be entered into one of six categories between Sunday 1 - Sunday 15 September. Showcase your entry (and enjoy some cake) by holding an event around Threatened Species Day at your workplace, or with family or friends.

The Bake Off is a fun way for you to learn more about Australia’s threatened species, celebrate raising awareness and maybe win bragging rights.
