DOHA are reforming in-home aged care to help older people live independently at home for longer. The Support at Home program will replace Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care Programme from 1 July 2025. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme will transition no earlier than 1 July 2027. Date: Thursday 14th December 2023 The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission has launched the Up to Standards video series. The new video series was developed to answer the most common questions on the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards. The first episode discusses the anticipated timing of implementation and the Commission’s role. If you have any questions or feedback about the Standards, please email agedcarereform@agedcarequality.gov.au to help the Commission ensure that the sector is prepared. New Aged Care Act Consultation For the first time, all CHSP providers will fall under the Aged Care Act. It’s critically important for leaders & governing body members to understand the changes, potential impacts & readiness activities. To support your understanding of the Act and to inform your organisation’s feedback to the Department, we invite you to attend a round table discussions in January 2024. In this round table, we will:
