Clinical Governance Training

Irrespective of whether your organisation delivers nursing, allied health, social support, personal care or other home support services, all service providers seek to deliver safe and effective quality care and support.

A care and/or clinical governance framework describes your organisation’s approach to ensuring the quality and safety of care for clients. It is a way for everyone working in your service to understand their role, shared responsibility, and accountability for ensuring quality and safety. A well-documented Framework will also help you to demonstrate alignment with Aged Care Quality Standards.

This practical workshop is designed for CHSP service provider who want to master care and/or clinical governance that incorporates risk management and data proficiency.   For those already equipped with these frameworks, this workshop provides a unique opportunity to validate and enhance your current practices.

What we will cover
In this workshop, we will work through the practical steps involved in developing a clinical governance plan with a focus on:

• crafting customised clinical/ service governance framework
• establishing strategic risk management protocols
• identifying 3-4 crucial data indicators that will solidify your service delivery
• benchmarking and refining your clinical/ service governance, risk management, and data strategies

As part of the workshop, you will receive:

• a template for a clinical and/or care Governance Framework
• tools and resources to support the development of your organisations Clinical Governance Framework

Shared Decision Making: Advance Care Planning

This one hour online  information session for CHSP providers will provide an overview of:

• What Shared Decision Making and Advance Care Planning (ACP) is
• The legal documents involved and your responsibilities
• Why it is important for your clients to be offered an opportunity to undertake ACP
• How you can introduce ACP to your clients and support them to complete ACP

There will be opportunity for questions and discussion.

Making consumer feedback work for you and your consumers: A Webinar series for CHSP providers

The aged care reforms will put older people at the centre of care, providing greater choice and control. For CHSP providers, it will be important to have systems and process in place to collect feedback to understand if the services delivered are meeting the specific needs of the older person and where there are opportunities for improvement. 

About the training 
The webinars will give you the skills and confidence to design and deliver consumer feedback strategies that actually work – empowering your consumers to participate and giving you the information you need to drive improvement. The webinars focus on practical strategies that are easy, inexpensive, and realistic to implement within a busy schedule.

These webinars are designed for staff who are actively involved in the collection and use of consumer feedback to support ongoing quality improvement within CHSP funded programs.
