The grants have been made available to the ECEC sector in WA for the first time through a funding boost of over $1 million from the Commonwealth Government, which will be delivered through the Preschool Reform Agreement. Communities has entered a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Education to enable the distribution of funding to flow to all ECEC settings. The Supporting Children in ECEC WA grants will be administered by Child Australia, and all ECEC services in WA, approved under the Education and Care Service National Law (WA) Act 2012, are eligible to apply. The first round of grant applications will close on 24 November 2023. Additional rounds will be offered until all the funds are distributed.
