+ Saturday Inclement Weather Procedures

Dear Customer,

Bring your children in for a free swim this Saturday! Effective now through August 31, all youth will be able to swim for FREE at the Mount Rainier Pool during family, lap, open and water walking swims.

This Saturday, we have the following options for Free Swims for Youth.

Family Swim, 11:30am-1pm
Lap Swimming, 9am-1pm
Open Swim, 1-2pm

Youth are defined as anyone 0-18 years old. Personal identification may be required for anyone 15 and older. (Note-if you have a current Family Pass, the district will accommodate you, please email info@mtrainierpool.com for more information.)

SPECIAL NOTE: The free swimming is provided by a grant from King County Parks. For grant tracking, users will be required to provide their address, phone, and other account details for proof of usage. If a customer does not wish to share this information, they can elect to still pay daily entry fees.

Saturday Inclement Weather Procedures

The Mount Rainier Pool follows the inclement weather procedures on weekdays to help with better communications, but what does the district do on weekends.

If there is inclement weather on a Saturday, an announcement will be made at 7:00am. An announcement will only be sent out if the pool is going to be closed.

If the pool opens and weather conditions worsen, we will have staff onsite make the call. We suggest on these days to call us at 206.824.4722 before you travel to the pool.

In any case, we will always send an email blast out, update our website including our banner ad, and post on social media (Facebook/X).
