HLH Network of Networks The 44th World Hospital Congress in Barcelona (8th-11th November) was dominated by sessions focusing on building resilience and agility in global healthcare as it recovers from COVID-19. In a programme featuring over 70 sessions and more than 300 speakers, the topic of COVID-19 was discussed in a variety of contexts, such as: women in leadership; getting ready for the next global pandemic; accelerating research, development and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine; nursing leadership in transforming healthcare during a
worldwide pandemic; harnessing innovations to build back better; and humanizing technology for smart healthcare delivery.
