Dear Residents, A great deal of work has gone into producing the Pictorial History of the Strathfield District by a handful of Council staff and the official book launch is taking place on Friday 12 December at Strathfield Library! Join us as we step back in time and rediscover the stories that shaped our local community. Places are limited so click here to register today! Strathfield Council is excited to share that waste enclosure artwork installations in all six of our town and local centres will be completed over the coming weeks. The waste enclosure artworks aim to uplift the appearance of the waste enclosures, as well as provide an important educational piece on the history and unique identity of each centre as part of our ‘Take a Closer Look’ campaign. Each town and local centre in Strathfield has a unique history, and understanding this history paves the way for a better understanding of each centre’s importance to the local community. Finally, there’s only 4 days left for artists to submit their applications to exhibit their body of work in the Ironbark Gallery throughout 2026. Click here for more information and to submit an application by Monday 1 December 2025. If you need to contact me or have any questions, please do so by emailing me cr.bcai@strathfield.nsw.gov.au or ring our office on 9748 9999.
