UALSC Tutor update - July 2024

 
 

We are 5 weeks into Summer School and it has been incredibly busy around our campuses. Thank you to everyone for making summer school a success so far, we look forward to the weeks ahead.

It's great to see students travelling from all over the world to come to UAL and take a short course with us. UAL Short Courses are eager to create a delightful experience for both new and returning students looking to innovate and nurture their artistic pursuits.

Win a free short course competition ✨

IT'S COMPETITION TIME!

We are currently running a competition where students can win a free short course of their choice, up to the value of £720.

We are encouraging students to 'share their creative goal' with us in the form of a social media post. Details of the competition can be found on the UAL Short Courses Instagram.

Please share this with your students and encourage them to enter!

Safeguarding

A new document is now available on the tutor hub, which outlines safeguarding procedures for under 18s on short courses. Please familiarise yourself with this document, so you can best support the students on your short course.

Read the latest safeguarding guidance

Digital badges and certificates 

Please let students know they will receive their Digital Badges and Certificates within 14 days of their course end date.

These will be sent to the email address used in their booking.

Students are able to add certificates to their LinkedIn profiles and share to their feed.

Visit: David Hockney's latest exhibition 'Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away)'.

Don't miss this immersive David Hockney experience at the Lightroom, Kings Cross. The venue’s vast walls and revolutionary sound system enable us to experience the world through Hockney’s eyes. It includes some iconic and rarely seen and new pieces.

His exhibition runs from 17 June - 6 October at Lightroom, 12 Lewis Cubitt Square, King's Cross, N1C 4DY

Attend: Annual Language-Art Project collection of events for UAL staff and students.

This annual event brings students and staff together to create art intertwined with language. Learn more about the project and see works from previous exhibitions.

Events are taking place online, at Central Saint Martins, and at High Holborn between 22 July and 26 August.
