NDIS Checks are transferable and portable across all states and territories within Australia. If workers hold a valid NDIS Check in another state, they are not eligible to apply for an NDIS Check in Western Australia. You will be able to link them in the NDIS Worker Screening Database (commonly known as the NWSD) using their Worker Screening ID number. When will workers be able to renew their NDIS Checks? Renewal applications can be accepted three months prior to the expiry of the clearance. NDIS Check holders will be contacted by email to advise how they can renew. To ensure workers are notified of when they need to renew, we recommend you remind staff of their obligations to update their details through DoTDirect. Have an NDIS Check question you would like answered? You can submit questions by emailing NDISCheck@communities.wa.gov.au. We are happy to help where we can, although we may need to refer you to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commissions for matters that fall under their jurisdiction. From 24 to 31 December 2024, our operating hours will be from 9:00am to 3:00pm. We will return to normal operating hours in the new year.
