Cherrywood by Jock SerongOne Friday evening in 1993, a taxi swept through East Melbourne, on its way from the city to Richmond. That year was one of the few remaining when a great deal was known of the world, but not yet so much that the world had become over-known.
Edinburgh, 1916: Thomas Wrenfether, a rich Scottish industrialist, has an opportunity to build a paddle steamer from European cherrywood on the other side of the world, in booming Melbourne, Australia.
Melbourne, 1993. Martha is a lonely, frustrated lawyer. One night she stops at a pub in Fitzroy, The Cherrywood, for a bottle of wine. The building and its inhabitants make an indelible impression, and she begins to deduce odd truths about the pub.

Maggie's Recipe for Life
by Maggie BeerTo have a healthy old age you must act now, whether you are 30 or 50.
I have two great passions – sharing my love of food and improving the health and nutrition of older people. This cookbook is not for ‘old’ people, it’s for you. I have worked with Alzheimer’s researcher Professor Ralph Martins and have learned that to avoid Alzheimer’s and other lifestyle diseases it is what we eat today that matters. My recipe for life is to have a healthy attitude to eating – it’s all about choosing foods that give you the best chance of being in good health now and into your future. This is not a diet book – it’s a way of life.

Michael Klim
by Michael KlimKlim's journey to greatness began behind the Iron Curtain, in communist-era Poland. His family made a bid for freedom in the 1980s and immigrated to Australia, where swimming led him to become a sporting hero. His crowning moment was at the 2000 Olympics, where he captured our hearts with his gold medal performances. Beyond his achievements in the pool, Klim's life has been equally compelling. Through transitions in the business world, family life and major health trials, his natural buoyancy kept him afloat - until a crisis forced him to reassess his life. KLIM is a testament to the power of passion and the unsinkable human spirit.
