Senior School Notices

TERM 1 WEEK 6

From the Head of Senior School

Dear valued member of the PLC community,

    IWD Breakfast

Yesterday, we celebrated International Women's Day with a special celebration on the Quad.

During this event, our students, families, and staff heard from two inspiring Old Collegians, Eliza Reily (2016) and Emma Barrett (2021), who shared their journeys of breaking into a male-dominated field and challenging the status quo.

    Women in Tech Evening

Last night’s inaugural Women in Technology Evening was inspiring in many ways. Attendees were able to hear from incredible women guest speakers and panelists currently working in varied technology fields.

Potentially the most significant aspect of the evening, however, was the fact the whole event was driven and executed by current student and tech advocate Annabelle Lewkowski (Year 12).

    IGSSA Swimming Carnival

On Tuesday, students selected for the IGSSA Swimming Carnival competed at HBF Stadium.

What stood out on the day was the incredible culture we possess at PLC where students were cheering with unabashed enthusiasm for each and every student – regardless of where they placed.

Congratulations to every student who participated – whether they swam a personal best (there were a significant number of these), or broke an event record (Inez Miller broke the Year 11 50m Backstroke record), each student should feel very proud of their efforts both in and out of the pool.
