The SLSNSW Coronavirus page has been reviewed today (2 September 2021) and updated Junior Activities and Surf Sport Information Packs are now available to download. A Summary of Changes is also available to download that details all updates that have been made.

The Evans Head Casino SLSC member was announced as the inaugural Support Operations Member of the Year at the Surf Life Saving NSW Awards of Excellence on Saturday night but, while humbled to be the first person to receive this recognition, he is focused on bigger and better things.

A reminder that the Club Lifesaving Equipment Grant closes on Sunday 19 September 2021. More information is available via Circular 3682.
NSW Office of Sport Surf Club Facility Program
Clubs and Branches that wish to apply for the Surf Club Facility Program are encouraged to commence gathering the required attachments ASAP.
Local Sporting Champions Program
Applications are now open - the program is designed to provide financial assistance for young people aged 12-18 years participating in state, national or international level sporting championships.
Nominations for Life Membership - SLSNSW
Nominations for Life Membership of SLSNSW are now open. Nominations are to be forwarded via branch by Thursday, 30 September 2021.
COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility
A reminder that volunteer patrolling members (Bronze/SRC) of SLSNSW are eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine. Visit the SLS Members Area to find out more and to download the Letter and Eligibility Declaration Form. Members do not need to be vaccinated to patrol.

Events
Coolangatta Gold
Entry periods have been extended for the Coolangatta Gold, with early birds now closing 5 September. SLSA is also calling for Official Nominations, closing 17 September.
Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

Deliver a brand new beach safety show to young children between the ages of 3 and 6. We urge anyone interested to apply but early childhood education experience and knowledge will be highly regarded. Training provided.
Multicultural Beach Safety Presenter
Deliver beach safety and rock fishing safety talks to community groups and diverse audiences in English and your own language both virtually and face to face. We urge anyone interested to apply but those with a strong knowledge and interest in their own culture will be highly regarded. Training provided.

With over 330 positions available across 90 locations, the ALS is encouraging surf lifesavers to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:
