No Images? Click here Greetings, Dear friend: The change of season signaled by the Labour Day weekend brings a new weather cycle and a new back-to-school cycle. Why not make a plan to continue your morning meditation and exercise habits into your new routines, as frameworks for adaptation? Ayurveda suggests you continue to accomplish your work or study activities during daylight, planning for bedtime near to sundown, as much as feasible. For over a year now, I’ve adopted a practice of very limited use of artificial light after dark, as an exercise in relation to the inner Light. According to Ayurveda, the inner Light (understanding, resolve, and clarity) is the important focus of inner attention in meditation and in life, bringing discernment, self- understanding, and self-reform from within. Meditation is considered the first and last medicine of Ayurveda. As the deepest-acting investment, meditation practice is capable of removing the causes of symptoms and disease—the root of anger, judgement, and criticism through realization. Meditation supports the resolve to remove the cause of these (and any) symptoms by differentiating the world of duality and the unified field. Inner peace is found behind the disturbance. Ayurveda recognizes all beings as unique spiritual beings, belonging to one whole. What are your successes with mind/consciousness over matter/symptoms? * * * AYURVEDA VACATION HEALTH RETREATS, Where are you in your health transitions?
