Built in 1928, it was designed by architect, Sidney Warden. Homebush Council was not in favour of the new pub as there were already two hotels - the Horse and Jockey and Wentworth Hotels - serving the needs of Homebush’s 3500 residents. The first publican was Joseph Monaghan for whom the hotel was built. It was bought by Tooth & Co. in 1934. Jack Cotterell held the license from 1935 to 1953. The hotel was demolished in 2003 and apartments were built on this site. Hotel Homebush by Milton Kent c.1929.
