October NewsletterHi All, Please see below an update on all that has been happening at Pimlico Racing, and what lies in store! Best wishes, Nathaniel and Tom Zoffany Bay will have the final run of his career in the 1m5f handicap at Navan on Wednesday 18th October. It was great to see him run well at Tramore last time and we'd love to give him a proper send-off as he heads into retirement! He has been an absolute star for us over the years, winning a €100,000 Listed contest around Auteuil, and returning from a tendon injury to finish second in a £50,000 handicap hurdle at Ascot in February, before going on to land the inaugural running of the Tramore Derby. We're naming a race in his honour on the day and will be providing plenty of tickets. All Pimlico Racing members are welcome to apply for a free ticket and come and support Zoff - please just click on the button in the photo above. Innantendue nearing her debut for PimlicoGraded-placed hurdler Innatendue is not far off her first start of the season, though it's fair to say the race planners at Cheltenham have scuppered out best-laid plans! The maiden hurdle has been moved from October to November, so we'll be heading elsewhere for her first run, before hopefully heading to Prestbury Park in November. Stardhem schooling well and set for racecourse bowBen Pauling has been delighted with Stardhem's preparation for his racecourse debut next month and our unraced four year old schooled nicely at Naunton last week. He'll do a couple of stronger pieces of work in the coming fortnight and then we will be making some race plans! Pastorale heads for TipperaryFrench recruit Pastorale will head to Tipperary later this week for a schooling hurdle, and providing all goes to plan there, we will be looking to start her off somewhere in the next 2-3 weeks. The half-sister to leading French chaser Metasequoia has done everything right at home to date and we are all looking forward to getting her started. Arc Competition winnersNiall won our Arc competition earlier in the year and we were delighted to receive a photo of him on Sunday enjoying the weekend in Paris! Our Arc day tipster competition was very well-contested and saw a tight finish, with The Finishing Line's Dave O'Keeffe just scraping home in front. Dave wins the trip to Paris for the French Gold Cup in May, and there is the fine consolation prize of a Pimlico Racing mug to Nick Newman and Grenville Davies! Available SharesThe start of the National Hunt season proper is nearly upon us, so it's the perfect time to look at adding one more horse to your racing interests! Please see details below. Our unnamed Kalanisi is back in pre-training with Marcus Foley and he looks a real monster! A big, strong individual, Marcus will gradually increase the workload before sending him into Ben's yard in due course. With a black-type pedigree and the physique to excel as a chaser, he comes highly recommended and represents one of the biggest up-and-coming trainers in NH racing in the UK. You can find out more about share costs here ⬇️ North Moon has done everything right in his pre-training and is now enjoying a spell in the paddocks before he returns to work towards the end of the month. Sire Spanish Moon continues to fire in the winners, with both three year olds geldings to have run over hurdles in France this year already winners, including last week's impressive Auteuil Prix Pride Of Kildare winner Kibboutz! Don't miss out on this very exciting prospect with Willie Mullins - find out more here ⬇️ Stable VisitsWe have visits booked in for Ben Pauling, Henry de Bromhead and John McConnell in the weeks ahead. Dates for the our visits to Naunton Downs (pictured) and Knockeen will be sent out to syndicate members, but our visit to John McConnell's is open to all Pimlico members - if you'd like to come and join us for a look around the yard of one of Ireland's most upwardly-mobile trainers, join us on Saturday 4th November at 9.30am.
