Independent review update

The independent review of Coal LSL’s framework, which began in June 2021, is now completed. The purpose of the review is to ensure the scheme’s ongoing success as a contemporary Government corporation serving the interests of the Australian black coal mining industry. Did you know?

Employers are required to make cessation payments within 30 days of receiving a Cessation Application. Refer to the Admin Act 1992 (Part 5A, Division 3) for employer obligations related to cessation.

Office closed during the Easter break

Our office will be closed for the break from Friday 15 - Monday 18 April inclusive, reopening at 8:30am on Tuesday 19 April. Enquiries can still be placed through our website and voicemail messages left via phone; these will be attended to as promptly as possible on return to the office.

Diary dates

Important dates for your diary:

  • Levy advice and payment for April are due on or before 28 May.
    The form and helpful guide are available on our website under Levy Reporting. For those already enrolled on Levy Loader, see the online Levy Loader support resources.
     
  • Annual audit report for 2020–21 is due within six months of the end of the financial year. 
    Support materials are available on our website under Legal Obligations. For organisations with a 30 June year-end, audit reports are due to Coal LSL by 31 December annually.
