We honour the service and sacrifice that she made for the Commonwealth over her more then 70 years as Queen. I will be attending many local services today to pay respect on behalf of Strathfield Council, I hope that residents enjoy the public holiday but also take some time to reflect on the importance of family and community on this day. Since my election as Mayor, I have been keeping residents up to date on the tough decisions that we are making to combat the financial challenges that face the Strathfield Council organisation. I will have a lot more to say about this in the future but would appreciate any feedback from residents in relation to this matter. If you need assistance with any local issue, please contact me on 0406 099 048 or cr.mblackmore@strathfield.nsw.gov.au Get Prepared It’s easy to feel overwhelmed in an emergency and with disasters becoming more frequent, take control this Emergency Ready week and make a plan.
