June NewsletterHi All, Lots to read about this month, including a return to Galway booked for recent Tramore winner Ninth Titan, a promising start for Tramore Derby target Chutzpal (shares available!) and details of our Ben Pauling visit and Royal Ascot tipster competition. Best wishes, Nathaniel and Tom Ninth Titan impresses at TramoreIt was fantastic to see Ninth Titan make a winning return to action, making all the running at Tramore under Paul Townend to score with plenty to spare. He jumped very well in the main and looks sure to build on that run - Paul was very complimentary about him afterwards and felt there is a lot more to come from him. Congratulations to all involved and let's hope he can continue to progress in the coming months. Willie and the team are keen to return to Galway and all being well, that's where we'll head next. Innatendue back to form at PunchestownInnatendue bounced back to form at Punchestown last week, beaten just half a length in a competitive maiden hurdle. Upped in trip to three miles, she jumped slickly and showed a really good attitude to chase down the eventual winner, just missing out in the run to the line. It was very pleasing to see her run so well and hopefully she can go one better next time! Chutzpal on target for the DerbyOur Tramore Derby prospect Chutzpal could hardly have made a more encouraging start in the Pimlico colours, finishing a close fourth on the flat at Fairyhouse and staying on really nicely in the closing stages. He was expected to come on for the run and Tramore on Tuesday 9th July (eve) remains the target. We'd love to get a follow-up win in the second running of the Tramore Derby, following Zoffany Bay's success last year, but he should be a lot of fun throughout the summer as well, particularly when we go hurdling. There's just 15% remaining and shares start from just 1.5% - to get involved, please click on the link below Amina nearly set for debutOur well-regarded bumper prospect Amina is set to have one more away-day gallop before making her debut and she should be on the track in the coming month. John has said she continues to show plenty of ability and though it has taken a little longer than expected to get her ready, she is a big girl and she has needed the time! There are 4yo bumpers at Tipperary on 4th July (fillies only) and at Cork the following day, with Roscommon on the 8th another possibility. She couldn't be going any better in her work and looks a lovely filly in the making, so we're excited about her prospects. 5%: €2230 upfront then €140 a month from 1st July 2024 10%: €4460 upfront then €280 a month from 1st July 2024 Final shares available - please click on the link below to reserve your share now Antonin Dvorak working very wellAntonin Dvorak did his first piece of work on the grass in Middleham last week and, as you can see from the video below, it couldn't have been more promising. He is shaping up very well and his sire New Bay's two year olds have been firing once again this season, including a couple of very impressive wining debutants of late. We're hoping he will be ready to start off in late July/early August. Antonin Dvorak is our first 'buy-to-sell' yearling syndicate. If you are interested in joining our next yearling syndicate in the autumn then please get in touch. Chindwin nearing returnChindwin had a little niggle after his winning start for us and just needed a little time to recover from that, but is now back in full work and looked in good form on Warren Hill last week (below). He will be ready to go again in a fortnight's time and should make a very bold bid to follow up his Wolverhampton success! Collanisi on summer break Collanisi showed up really nicely in his short time at Ben Pauling's yard and is now enjoying a good summer's break (photo above). He is developing into a fine individual and we look forward to getting him back in training in July, with a view to an early autumn debut in a bumper. 5%: £2,960 upfront then £140 a month from 1st July
2024 There is 20% remaining in Collanisi - please click on the link below to reserve your share now Stardhem on holidaysStardhem (pictured above) has had his three qualifying runs for a mark and Ben Pauling feels he is a very well-handicapped prospect for the season ahead, particularly when sent chasing. We had the option of giving him one run in a handicap before the summer, but the ground went against us at the time and it's no bad thing to give him a little longer out. He will be back on the racecourse in the early autumn and could be the type to run up a sequence. North Moon progressing wellWe had a really enjoyable visit to Willie Mullins' yard to see North Moon in action on the gallops - the date clashed with Ninth Titan running that evening, but it was nice to see him out in the yard before his win at Tramore! North Moon looks in great shape and Willie has been pleased with what he has seen so far. We'll know more after he has been away for a gallop at the Curragh in the coming fortnight and will then hopefully be able to make some race plans! Other updates from around the yardsI AM MIMI is enjoying a break in the paddocks after a couple of runs in May. The Punchestown bumper in which he finish ninth was pretty attritional and there's a chance the next run at Ballinrobe just came too soon. Still, that form is already being well franked, with the winner and second both bolting up next time, and it's worth noting he was only beaten 8L but was giving them 9lbs and 10lbs respectively. He'll make his debut over hurdles later this summer and remains an exciting prospect. MOURZOUK had his second run back from a break at Uttoxeter on Saturday and ran a pleasing race to finish fourth. He is definitely getting there now and he should be going very close on his next start. MYSTIC SAGE runs at Kilbeggan today and needs to take a step forwards on what she has shown so far. Henry has been keen to persevere as she looks capable of winning races on her homework, so hopefully an improved showing awaits. PASTORALE remains on her summer break and will be coming back into training at the beginning of August, ahead of a season where we hope she can establish herself as a Graded novice hurdler, following two Listed-placed efforts last term. ZURICH is enjoying his last couple of weeks in the field before heading into training on 1st July. We can't wait to get started with him and look forward to seeing him on the track in the early autumn. His sire's progeny remain all the rage and sold for an average of €87,500 at the recent Goffs Arkle Sale last week! There is 20% remaining in Zurich - please get in touch with Nathaniel or Tom for further details. Ben Pauling Open Day - Saturday 17th AugustBen Pauling's yard at Naunton Downs is one of the most impressive facilities in the country and we're looking forward to showing it off at our Pimlico Racing syndicate open day on Saturday 17th August! We'll be seeing our horses on the gallops, enjoy a tour of the yard and there will be a light lunch/refreshments included. The visit is free to attend for all Pimlico members or anyone interested in racehorse ownership with us, so please spread the word! If you'd like to attend, please click on the link below.
