The future of work and the importance of being prepared for this evolving landscape are well-discussed topics in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Technological advancements, generational and social shifts, mixed with a global pandemic, have altered both the way we work and our future career pathways. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted that it is more critical than ever that young people leave school prepared for this uncertain environment. We need creative, critical thinkers who can innovate and utilise technological advancements to drive solutions for the major economic, social, and environmental challenges facing our world. As AI, AR, and machine learning become more prominent in our daily lives, transferable skills, often referred to as employability skills, are the most desirable across all industries. Problem-solving, communication, resilience, emotional intelligence, and initiative are key proficiencies to today's world. These learning outcomes, combined with work-integrated learning and multi-/trans-disciplinary team experiences are embedded as core to SSE's learning framework. We design and deliver programs that give practical, hands-on experiential learning to help a diverse range of participants thrive and create lifelong opportunities. Our programs such as Discovery, which has iterations for both secondary school and tertiary students, focus on innovating to solve real-world problems at scale. Our Invest In Yourself - Exploring Money and Self-Employment series is demonstrating impact across diverse geographical areas, including regional NSW, and contributing to the growth of the State's skills economy. We're proud to contribute to these vital goals through our collaborative partnerships, bringing our vision to life and removing barriers to employment. While the end of 2022 is in sight, and the festive season approaches, our work isn't done yet, with many exciting programs over the next couple of months.
