Welcome to the May edition of SSE’s quarterly newsletter! This month we’re spotlighting our partnerships with regional communities and the NSW Innovation Districts, our ongoing work with young people and with schools, and our development work with local start-ups and founders as we build the next iterations of our flagship Digital Internship Program. And we launched our new website! This new site reflects SSE’s priorities and strategy as we work to build a nationwide culture of entrepreneurialism and shared prosperity. Check out the site here, and get in touch if you have stories to share or would like to partner with SSE.

International Women’s Day

One of SSE’s core strategic pillars is to enable economic opportunity and advancement for women, helping them to transition between careers and life stages, build pathways into work and careers, and increase financial wellbeing in retirement. A guiding principle of our commitment to inclusivity is to take shared responsibility to improve outcomes for women and girls, regardless of cultural background, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, age, disability, and socioeconomic status or location. You’ll hear more about this throughout the year.

The SSE team attended a panel discussion of eminent businesswomen at the Powerhouse Museum based on the International Women's Day 2023 theme, Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender-equal future, and how innovation and technology are key drivers of systemic change. The discussion covered insightful topics and drove specific calls to action as we debated how every person can lead change - even in small ways.
