Tis the Season to ‘Get Ready’

'Tis the Season to ‘Get Ready’

As we prepare to enjoy the festive season, it’s important to remember that natural disasters and emergency events often occur over our summer. So, while you write your Christmas list, write your emergency plan, and check it twice to ‘Get Ready’ for the unexpected.

Being prepared can help safeguard you, your family, pets and property against severe storms, cyclones, floods and bushfires.

Take time to ensure that your yard is free of loose items like patio furniture, outdoor toys and rubbish. While you're out there, check your roof and gutters to clear any debris.

The holidays are the perfect time to sit with the family and ensure you have an emergency kit and plan in place, so that you all know what to do if you need to evacuate. Don't forget to also check all insurances are up to date.
