EventsInnovative Approaches to Equity in the WorkplaceIn recognition of International Women's Day, the Alberta School of Business has partnered with AIMCo to present A Discussion on Innovative Approaches to Equity in the Workplace on Tuesday, March 7. ASB Dean Kyle Murray will provide opening remarks, followed by a Pecha Kucha style presentation, after which Rachel Wade, AIMCo's Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Employee Experience, will lead a moderated discussion. ABFI’s Family Enterprise Leadership Series Organized by the Alberta Business Family Institute and Canadian Western Bank, the 2023 Family Enterprise Leadership Series (FELS) is about to begin! Led by experienced professionals, academics and experts across diverse fields, FELS focuses on the leadership challenges that family enterprises, family businesses and family offices face in the varying stages of the family and business lifecycle. The first session will be on March 14 from 11:30am to 1pm. Working With Gen Z Gen Z is the up-and-coming generation in the workforce, so it’s pertinent that employers know: what are their salary expectations? how often do they want to work from home? what leadership qualities are they looking for? On March 15, join Mark Anderson (CBRE) and Heather Thomson (UofA) as they present a study that was conducted with Alberta School of Business students to answer these questions – and more – at the Working With Gen Z luncheon! City Building at the U of A: 2nd Annual The 2nd Annual City Building Conference at the U of A is happening on March 30 and you don’t want to miss this year’s event as we build upon the success of our last year’s conference with more opportunities to connect and collaborate with fellow academics and industry leaders.
