Senior School NoticesTerm 2 Week 5
Dear valued member of the PLC community, Languages WeekBuenos dias, bonjour, ni hao, buongiorno, apa kabar, guten tag, goei dag, bom dia, gode dag and g’day... This week, we have been celebrating Languages Week!
Designed to showcase the benefits of language learning, highlight the linguistic diversity in our community, and celebrate the work of our language students and teachers, today students participated in a Sketch and Sip activity. Here, students enjoyed sketching famous monuments from around the world whilst indulging in traditional Chinese tea. In addition to showcasing the beauty of various international monuments, it was a fun and engaging way to learn about Chinese traditions.
Year 12 Pyjama PartyWhile our Year 12 students may have looked ready for bed last Friday, truth be known, they have never been sharper. In conclusion of exams, the Year 12 Pyjama Party was held to foster balance, rest, and recovery. It was a fun and relaxing evening enjoyed by all.
Cross Country TrainingOur Senior School Cross Country team has been training hard in preparation for the IGSSA Cross Country Carnival on Friday 16 June. Head of Sport, Mr Sam Maxwell, said that students have been enjoying the morning sessions, and the sunrise views have certainly been a plus!
Kind regards, Rebecca Watts
Head of Senior School
I have often wondered about what it is that defines us in the eyes of others. We all have a fair idea about who we are and where we fit in the scheme of things, but ultimately it is the perception of others about us that gives a much clearer idea of the true reality, even if it is uncomfortable or unpleasant.
