📅 FLO Lab: Overcoming Biases in EdTech Integration

May 11, 2023 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Through a series of hands-on activities, participants will identify their preconceptions about technology integration and explore ways to overcome biases. The FLO Lab will also provide a space for co-reflection and discussion about strategies, allowing participants to learn together and develop a shared understanding of how to approach technology integration in education with openness and confidence.

📅 FLO Panel: Artificial Intelligence in Post-Secondary Education, a B.C. Perspective

May 23, 2023 | 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most powerful agents of change in higher education. It presents all educators in B.C. with myriad of opportunities as well as academic, ethical, and legal challenges. BCcampus would like to offer a space for a vibrant conversation with diverse scholars from B.C. post-secondary institutions about how AI is inextricably intertwined with the future of education.

Teach with us! BCcampus invites expressions of interest from B.C. post-secondary educators who are interested in developing and delivering new FLO MicroCourses, FLO Labs, or FLO Friday sessions for the period of May 2023 to March 2024.

💻 Call for Proposals: Open Textbook Adaptation

BCcampus has two call for proposals where the successful project teams will adapt two open textbooks to update and revise the content to be more equitable and inclusive.

💻 Call for Proposals: Professional Learning in the Early Childhood Sector in B.C.

BCcampus is seeking experts in early childhood education and curriculum development to submit proposals and help develop professional learning for ECEs across the province.

Successful applicants will be offered contracts valued at up to $100,000 for their work. Payment will be tied to deliverables based on the service contract.
