Management of campus cases Covid-19 update – Monday 2 MayManagement of campus cases Dear students, Now that we have returned to face-to-face teaching, we expect to see some Covid-19 cases on campus. We are writing today to let you know how these cases will be handled. If you test positive for Covid-19 or have to isolate as a household contact, our Student Success Team is here to support you. Please contact them at studentsuccessaic@op.ac.nz to let them know of your situation. They can help with everything from accessing the supplies and services you need while in isolation to financial and wellbeing support. Covid positive students who have been on campus up to two days before the onset of symptoms (or a positive test result, if that was earlier) will be asked to complete a Learner Investigation Form, which Student Success will supply. We will not disclose your positive status to anybody apart from your lecturers. This is for attendance recording purposes and so they can offer remote learning support. It’s great to have you all back on campus and we will continue taking all possible measures to keep you safe. Please also continue to follow public health recommendations to keep yourselves and others safe including wearing masks while indoors, staying home if you are sick, and washing and sanitising hands regularly. Please note that under current Government rules, you are only required to isolate if you have tested positive for Covid-19 or are a household contact of a positive case. Kind regards, OPAIC Communications. |
