We have an update to the presentations at the Komiti Māori hui on Tuesday 8 April 2025, with the meeting agenda available online now.

  1. Ngareta Timutimu - Hungahungatoroa Marae/Hapū Background and Climate Change Project
  2. Kiamaia Ellis – Update on Climate Change Implementation Plan, Customary Fish Overview and Crayfish PhD Project
  3. Kawana Warahi and Porina McLeod - Mauao Myrtle Rust Project
  4. Mel Tata – Ngāti Ranginui – Tuna Ora Wai Ora Project
  5. Ministry for the Environment (MFE) – Senior MFE Treaty/Kaupapa Advisors Gina Rangi and Shad Rolleston have been invited to speak about the recently announced RMA reforms.
  6. Awhina Ngatuere - Māori values and uses of Geothermal in Tauranga Moana

Komiti Māori will be held at Hungahungatoroa Marae, 29A Hungahungatoroa Road, Matapihi, Mount Maunganui. The meeting will commence with a pōwhiri at 9.30am. Please arrive by 9.20am to gather/assemble for the pōwhiri.
