No images? Click here Dear reader Did you know that October is National Safe Work Month? Here at WorkCover WA, we acknowledge October as an important time to commit to building a safe and healthy workplace. Last financial year, over 26,000 workers’ compensation claims were lodged in Western Australia. By raising awareness of workplace health and safety and making real changes to improve the safety of all workers, we can work towards reducing the overall number of claims. The theme for National Safe Work Month this year is think safe. work safe. be safe. You can find out more by visiting the Safe Work Australia website. Despite the number of workers’ compensation claims lodged, we make a commitment to our stakeholders to ensure there is a workers’ compensation and injury management scheme that works for all. In this edition of our newsletter, we share some of this important work with you. Read on to learn more!
