TIP: FEMS Tip of the Month

This month, as we are now into the second half of the fiscal year, we would like to remind everyone that this is a perfect time to take a look at your engagement activities and assess their progress thus far.

This would include determining how much of of the budget has been spent in each one, connecting with the project leads to discuss how the activity is going, and if the work will continue for the next half of the fiscal, and ensuring all claims are entered in a timely manner to ensure they meet the 90-day submission deadline. With all of this information in hand, you can then proceed to re-allocate and assign budgets to areas of greater spending from lower spending, close activities that are now completed, and work with your executive to manage the overall budget for the remainder of the year.

We have many resources on our website that can help you in these processes, from the FE financial workbook, to project intake forms, and project guidelines and attributes.

If you have any questions, please contact femssupport@doctorsofbc.ca.

TIP: PM Helpdesk Lunch and Learn Library

The FE provincial office, in conjunction with the PM Helpdesk Consultant, Erica Kjekstad, have created a library document of all of the past MSA Lunch and Learn sessions from 2022 and 2023.

The 2024 library document is now live and will continue to be updated each month with current information.

Did you know...? November’s full moon is traditionally called the Beaver Moon, as historically, this was the month to set one’s beaver traps before the swamps froze and beavers retired to their lodges.
