Diagnosed with a small bowel NET in 2012 at just 37, Kerie has undergone major surgeries, radiotherapy and now lives with cancer. ![]() INCA (International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance) PATIENT EMPOWERMENT Cathy facilitated a discussion with members of the INCA community from Australia, Africa, USA, India, UK & Norway to share insights and experiences, and to explore how we can collectively strengthen the voice of patients in shaping their care and the systems that support them. ![]() NEW INITIATIVE PUTS PATIENT VOICES AT THE HEART OF NEUROENDOCRINE CANCER RESEARCHWe’re proud to announce the launch of a James Lind Alliance (JLA) Priority Setting Partnership in neuroendocrine cancer. This national initiative will bring together patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to identify and prioritise the most important unanswered questions in diagnosis, treatment, and care—ensuring future research focuses on what matters most to those affected. Thank you so much! ![]() CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH IN MEMORY OF DAVID (DIPPA) HIPWOOD ![]() On the 10th of August, a charity football match was held in memory of David (Dippa) Hipwood at Monckton Recreation Centre. This was a chance for family, friends, and work colleagues to remember David while supporting Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. A friend of David, Gary Braithwaite set up the event and he told us “Apart from the odd blister and an achy back it was an incredible day” On the day the teams were led out by David's sons, Lewis and Cal. As captains in the battle for Dippa’s Memorial Trophy. Friends, family, and former colleagues stepped onto the pitch to play their part in remembering Dippa. The game finished 5-1 to Team Callum! Together they have currently raised an amazing £3471.13, with David's ex employer pledging to donate another £1500 to the total - Thank you so much from the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK Team.
