Cr Matthew Blackmore, Mayor of Strathfield

I was delighted to continue my Local School Visits this week with myself and the Deputy Mayor visiting both Strathfield South Primary School and my old high school Strathfield South High School. These visits are helping to create a better connection with Local Schools so we can work together for the benefit of the community.

I was also honoured to present Marie Bashir Public School with a $500 book voucher in recognition of their contribution to our Donation Day. I would like to thank the students and their families for generously donating over 40 bags of much needed clothing and linen to Red Cross.

If you need help with any local issue, please feel free to contact me on 0406 099 048 or cr.mblackmore@strathfield.nsw.gov.au

Marie Bashir Primary School Win Big!

Children and families of Marie Bashir Primary School have led by example, winning our Red Cross Donation Day competition by collecting over 40 bags of clothing and linen to donate to those in need! Mayor Blackmore visited the school this week to present them with a $500 book voucher for their library. In total, residents donated over 4,000kg of items, almost half of which will go onto be sold at Red Cross stores. Thank you and well done!
