New Report Offers Beach Safety Warning Ahead of Lockdown Restrictions Easing
As the state prepares for the anticipated relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions over the coming months, the release of the 2021 NSW Coastal Safety Report by Surf Life Saving NSW has highlighted the need for hyper-vigilance on our beaches, with a spike in coastal visitation expected following large-scale lockdowns.

Vale Cliff Marsh
It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Swansea-Belmont SLSC, Surf Life Saving NSW and Surf Life Saving Australia Life Member, Cliff Marsh OAM, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday 28 September 2021.
On behalf of the Board and staff of Surf Life Saving NSW, our condolences are extended to Cliff’s family and friends.
Aussie Lifesavers Support Drowning Prevention in Sth Korea
Surf Life Saving NSW’s desire to expand the reach of its top-class training and educational initiatives will grow stronger this month with the beginning of the second half of Phase 1 of a Lifeguard Training, Community Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Education Program in conjunction with the Korean Lifesaving Association (KLA).

Shark Drone Program Expands in NSW

Young Trio Behind Brave Avoca Beach Rescue
Three young Avoca Beach Nippers “still can’t believe” they “basically saved a man’s life” after their quick thinking and bravery was behind a rescue effort on the Central Coast last week. Matilda Coleman, Violet Wolters and Matilda Harvey, all nine years old, were out getting exercise on their Nipper boards when they heard a man calling out to them from deeper water.
