National Burns Awareness Month

The Education and Care Regulatory Unit (ECRU) together with Kidsafe Australia is urging educators and carers to be extra vigilant this winter to prevent burns.

The call comes during June, National Burns Awareness Month, an Australia-wide campaign focused on raising awareness of prevention and correct first aid treatment for burns and scalds across all age groups. National Burns Awareness Month is held each June, at the beginning of winter, when the risk of burns significantly increases during the winter months.

ECRU are excited to launch a new animated video and factsheet for educators in the education and care sector, as a reminder to "Think it Through" and prioritise burns prevention.
