An Update from Jo Thanks for reading our May newsletter, we know you are all busy people so we are grateful you took the time to catch up on our news. We love to get feedback too so if there is anything you would like to see in our newsletter then let us know. We have had a few people express their disappointment we no longer had the Karen Murrell lipstick range and said they were having trouble finding it elsewhere. There were a few reasons for this, but a couple of those have been resolved and we now have 4 of our previous top selling colours, their newest popular colour plus the moisture stick back in stock. The supplier has recently changed too so it is easier for us to order in other colours we may not stock for you. We currently have a gift with purchase available and with every Karen Murrell lip colour purchased you will receive either a free lip pencil or a jute tote bag. If Mum is a fan of these lippies this could be a great Mothers Days gift. Other ideas for her include Boody Loungewear or Sleep wear, scented candles, essential oils, yummy organic chocolate or herbal teas. We also have gift vouchers available that can be posted or couriered out. We look forward to your next visit with us. Our Vision At Bethlehem Health Shop, we support ethical suppliers and sell quality, researched products. We offer sincere advice from our team of caring, trained staff. From saying hello when you walked in the door, giving you advice and a smile, formerly as part of the amazing team at the Bethlehem Health Shop. But, many of you probably know me a lot better than you realise, because I am you. I am a mum, I am busy, I am tired, stressed and overworked. And typically, my idea of self care is waiting until the kids have gone to bed so I can eat a bowl of ice cream and watch Married at First Sight. I know how, with life’s unbelievable pace and chores and demands, that any more than that is practically unthinkable. But, since leaving the team to have my 2 beautiful children, my life has taken it’s own path in showing me both the practicality and importance of self care, in particular the mind-body connection. Like a lot of women, I could not fathom the toll that pregnancy and post-partum would take on me. My body changed from being dedicated to a career as a dancer, a yoga teacher and Pilates instructor, to being a dedicated vessel for creating a whole new person. Muscles softened and stretched in ways they never had before, bones and structures shifted and altered, organs got squished and entire systems were rearranged to make room for a new body within my own body. Although I had such a strong background in fitness, I found it extremely difficult to find time and motivation to get back into healthy movement. I looked towards the usual places for help. Gym and yoga classes would never fit into my mum schedule. Instagram and youtube have some decent channels, but motivating myself to follow anyone in particular was difficult, making me feel almost more isolated without a community or class to bond with, which is something that really kept me going and coming back in the past. Dedikate found me. I signed up to start teaching a yoga class for Kate Ivey Fitness, a homegrown fitness platform, mainly for women, mainly for rurally based or isolated people, mainly for people just like me. In signing up to teach the class, I found myself part of a true community, so many women like me, post-partum, busy, isolated and needing to give themselves the same dedication they do their families. Dedikate is full not only of like-minded people, but an endless resource of health and wellness classes and advice. There are classes for quite literally all levels of fitness and time available, from HIIT workouts to yoga, pilates to running programs, meditation to circuit training. To keep motivation up, theres dedicated chats, challenges, and a community of women who are in exactly the same headspace as me. Being run by a friendly, Kiwi woman gives the whole platform a welcoming, relatable vibe which makes me feel far more connected than any other online platform I have come across. I feel so grateful to have found, and be a part of the Kate Ivey Fitness team. It is so much more than simply a fitness platform dedicated solely to getting bikini body ready. It is a true community, and the feedback I get from fellow women working out apart, yet together, and the comments I get from the same women on my own videos is the most rewarding experience I could hope for. I approached Jo and the wonderful team at the Bethlehem Health Shop because I wanted to reach out to my local community who might benefit from being a part of it too. To anyone who can relate to anything I said, Dedikate offers a 7 day free trial at kateiveyfitness.com and we also want to give one lucky individual a 3 month membership - see the competition section for details on how to enter. I can’t wait to see you there. Namaste, Billie This month's giveaway is a 3 month online membership to Dedikate!
