Dear , August is a time for final decisions regarding the coming educational semesters, plan investments in your learning and your continuing good health. August is my favourite time of year, when many are on vacation, harvest begins in earnest, and the laziness of summer is enjoyed for swimming or strolling in nature, as she expresses her full effulgence, with goodness, beauty and abundance. August is also a time for plans to fulfill fall educational and health goals. Sign up for your yoga classes, such as the one offered by Jyoti Samson below. So many yoga classes are offered at an inopportune time during the afternoon or evening, whereas yoga is for the morning routine.
Brunch, Lunch or Supper – A Simple Delicious Recipe Here is a fabulous recipe for summertime to help balance the Doshas of the family. From the wonderful array of local summer harvest items, take time to lovingly chop these vegetables into medium or smaller sized cubes: Beets, carrots, celery and beans. Steam them for about 20 minutes, or until almost soft-cooked. Add freshly shelled peas and continue to steam for about 5 minutes. Turn off heat, let stand for a few minutes, and serve into a medium sized bowl. Serve fresh with any combination of the following that suits your Prakruti and Vikruti. Ghee, mineral salt, cilantro, lime squeeze, finely grated ginger, black pepper, chives, tamari, chutney, and a tablespoon of goat cheese. This recipe provides a high-protein, full-bodied, satisfying meal, rich in fibre, bio-available nutrients and micro-food factors! Add freshly cooked quinoa or wild rice as a side dish for a simple brunch, lunch or supper of six tastes and complete amino acid chains. Let us know your experience of trying this recipe! Veronica Berezowsky’s westside yoga & healing studio is situated at Burrard and Broadway, offering amazing classes and events in Kitsilano, Vancouver. Veronica’s welcome message: Hola, my name is Veronica, Yoga Circle was born through me, in service to the collective. The practices that I share at Yoga Circle have profoundly touched my life and continue to be essential tools in my journey. I share them with deep respect & devotion, in the hope that they may touch your life as well. Currently I also work in private and community settings as a trauma therapist, holding sacred space for an embodied transpersonal process to develop, which supports individual, ancestral & collective healing, in a journey towards a more conscious, fulfilling and meaningful existence. The essence of Yoga Circle is to offer a sacred & respectful space where we can connect within, without & with each other, raising our (individual, ancestral and collective) consciousness in community, through practices that support us in remembering our wholeness. We aim to do this by offering practices rooted in ancient traditions much greater than us, which can inspire a deeper dive to the essence of who we truly are.
