Senior School Notices

TERM 4 WEEK 4

Dear valued member of the PLC community,

Sun Safety

With the warmer weather fast approaching, we have been reminding our students of the importance of sun safety. As a key part of our summer uniform, all students are required to wear their panamas when they are travelling to and from the College. We also ask that they wear their panama or PLC sports hat during Recess and Lunchtime if they are sitting in the sun. Our staff will continue to remind students of the importance of sun safety and if parents could reinforce this message it would be greatly appreciated.

    IGSSA Success

Last Friday, our IGSSA Water Polo, Tennis, and Softball Teams competed in their annual carnivals and came away with outstanding results.

PLC's Senior A Water Polo Team came away with an incredible 1st place, taking home the Pennant after being undefeated all day.

Our Senior A Softball Team was awarded 2nd place and our Senior A Tennis Team came away with equal 3rd.

Congratulations to all the students and staff involved in their very successful campaign.

    WACE and IB Examinations

Currently, the Class of 2022 are hard at work completing their final WACE ATAR and IB examinations. These examinations often begin before the school day starts and continue past the end of the school day. The examinations take place in the McNeil Street Building and we ask that noise be kept to a minimum during school pick-up and drop-off at the McNeil Street slipway.

    Parent Information Evenings

Over the last week, we have held the Parent Information Evenings for our students entering Year 11 and Year 12. Thank you to all who were able to attend in person, and to our staff who shared their expertise in academics, careers, and pastoral care. Information from each session will be provided to parents who were unable to attend.
