MPI Trade Certification
In this section, you will find information to help you use MPI Trade Certification. For more information, refer to the MPI Trade Certification User Guide. Selecting the correct destination country for export requests Wine exporters are reminded to ensure they select the correct Destination country when creating an export request in MPI Trade Certification. The Destination country is the country where the wine is being exported to and must align with the country listed in the Consignee address. This ensures that any official assurances issued include the correct destination for the wine. Note that once you have saved a draft of your export request, this field can no longer be changed. If the Destination country is incorrect you will need to cancel the request. Refer to section 12 of the user guide for further information.
Managing duplicate export requests in MPI Trade Certification There can only be one export request in MPI Trade Certification for your export consignment. If you identify a duplicate export request, you can take the following actions in MPI Trade Certification to update this: Duplicate request is still in ‘Draft’ or ‘Raised - Pending Certification’ status:
Duplicate request has been ‘Approved’: Request to revoke the approved certificate. Refer to Section 12.3 of the user guide for further information. Please contact the MPI Trade Certification team for more information or if you have any questions: Organic Wine
If you are exporting organic wine under the MPI Official Organic Assurance Programme (OOAP), each consignment must have an official organic assurance issued by MPI. Without this, your importer will not be able to prove that the wine complies with their regulations for ‘organic’ labelling. Exporters need to meet the relevant Organic Export Requirement: Overseas Market Access Requirement (OER: OMAR) for
their market, including the deadlines for getting the official organic assurance. Relevant OER: OMARs can be found on the MPI encourages you to work closely with your freight forwarder so that they can keep you updated with timely advice about changes to shipping. A summary of the deadline set by each market can be found on the MPI website.
