TERM 3 WEEK 6

Year 6 PYP Exhibition

Dear valued member of the PLC community,

What a wonderful exhibition of learning the Year 6 students shared with parents, friends, and community members on Wednesday evening.

Congratulations to every person involved in this major event in the PYP. Under the Transdisciplinary Theme, Who We Are, the students did a remarkable job in sharing their knowledge, skills, and attitudes and can be very proud of how well they represented themselves and our school.

Indigenous Programme Co-ordinator Appointment

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Noongar Yorga woman, Michelle Ninyette, as our new Indigenous Programme Co-ordinator commencing Monday.

Michelle was highlighted as one of the increasing number of Indigenous women acting as leaders and change agents in their communities.

Michelle has four daughters at PLC. Her empathy and passion for Pastoral Care make her well suited for this role and she is very much looking forward to further strengthening our PLC community.

Languages Week

We have all enjoyed celebrating Languages Week in the Junior School. Many took advantage of the occasion to try something on the international menu that was offered out of the Junior School Canteen, a singing competition was held and, on Friday, we will have the opportunity to watch a performance from a Taiko drumming group during the recess break. The PLC Languages Department will host the Junior School Assembly on Friday 9 September which we are greatly looking forward to.
