Senior School NoticesTERM 3 WEEK 2Celebrating NAIDOC WeekDear valued member of the PLC community, This week, we have celebrated NAIDOC Week with our students involved in a range of different activities that focus on celebrating Indigenous culture. We have had bracelet making, face painting, and a netball match between our PLC Gorna Liyarn students and Scotch College (with a win for PLC!). On Friday this week, we will be recognising NAIDOC week at our Assembly and having a dance party on the Quad complete with crocodile, emu, and kangaroo sausages to sample. ![]() ![]() Announcing of School LeadersOn Friday at 3.00 pm, we will have a special assembly in the Hugh Baird Sports Centre to announce our Stage 1 leadership positions for 2023. Rebecca Watts Student and Staff Achievements![]() Cross Country ChampLast weekend, Sienna Hanikeri (Year 12) won the WA State Long Course Cross Country Championships in the U17 women's division. Sienna ran the 4000m event in a time of 14:29.00. Congratulations, Sienna! ![]() Highland Dancing SuccessLast weekend, Tessa Lammerts Van Bueren (Year 10) attended the International Highland Dancing Festival in NSW. Tessa performed exceptionally well, competing against dancers from all over Australia and the world. Tessa was part of the winning small group choreography 15yrs and under and placed within her dancing events on both days, resulting in her winning the Restricted National Cup for 14 to 15 years. ![]() Ms Kaye Receives Francis George Bradshaw PrizeHead of Science, Ms Lesley Kaye, was recently awarded UWA's Francis George Bradshaw Prize in Education. This prize is awarded to the best student completing the Master of Education.
