Cr Karen Pensabene, Mayor of Strathfield

Hello Strathfield,

Strathfield is known all over Sydney for its beautiful parks, street lined trees and heritage houses. Residents are passionate about the way our area is maintained. Council’s tree maintenance program has begun, and we encourage everyone to be aware of keeping our area beautiful. Residents can book in 3 free bulky household waste collections each year of up to two cubic metres per collection. Just book a clean-up on our website or ring customer service on 9748 9999.

Council is preparing for the Strathfield Festival to take place over 2 nights and 1 day from April 27 through to April 29. This will be the largest festival we have had, and we are so excited to bring this to Strathfield. It will be focused on our multicultural community consisting of a variety of music, food and lots of fun. Make a note in your diaries and we look forward to sharing this special event with you.

On behalf of the Council, I would like to wish all our residents an incredibly happy and holy Easter. I am looking forward to being a part of a few easter hat parades presented by our primary schools. Easter is such a special time to spend with your family, celebrating the love, peace and joy this holiday brings. Take care and drive carefully as there will be double demerits being enforced from Thursday April 6 to Monday 10 April.

For our children on school holidays, we hope you take up some of the activities on our website to keep you entertained over the Easter break. Councillors always look forward to being a part of these wonderful activities set up by our Council team.
