Seniors Festival is happening now! Its been great to see so many of our lovely residents out and enjoying the free activities and entertainment available. In the next week, we have free introduction to croquet sessions at the Strathfield Croquet Club on Sunday 24 March afternoon. Take a swing and give it a go! This week is also Harmony Week, and the message is everyone belongs. It’s an opportunity to recognise that Australia welcomes people from all over the world and values diversity. Australia’s success as a resilient and vibrant multicultural society stems from the mutual respect we show one another. Strathfield is one of the most multi-cultural local government areas in Sydney, with large Chinese, Indian and Korean communities. Since 2016, the number of residents claiming Nepalese heritage has doubled! I am proud to be the Mayor of such a diverse area and always look forward to welcoming more residents at each Council Citizenship Ceremony.

Tech Savvy Seniors - Mandarin - 新州老年人科技通课程
Strathfield Library offers free technology classes for seniors in Mandarin language. Learn and build your digital skills simply by booking one or multiple sessions.
Topics will include use of computers and tablets. Bookings are essential as there are very limited spaces available.

New Parking Scheme
Council is upgrading the parking meters at Bressington and Mason Parks. Time restrictions will remain the same, and drivers still need to enter their registration number in parking meters.
