New Path- Dudley Street, Mermaid Beach

We’re pleased to let you know the City is constructing a missing section of path on Dudley Street with works due to commence in mid-April 2022.

The new path will provide better access to public transport and improve conditions for active travel (pedestrians, people riding bikes and using wheeled devices such as prams and mobility aids).

The new path will be constructed on the southern side of Dudley Street, from Gold Coast Highway to Hedges Avenue.

This project is part of a series of works identified by the City targeting gaps in active transport infrastructure in the Mermaid Beach area.

• Construction hours: workers will be on site Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm.

• Construction timeframe:  up to six weeks, depending on weather conditions. Works may be intermittent due to crew availability and work item sequencing.
