Term 2 Week 6

Dear valued member of the PLC community,

    Reconciliation Week

This week we have celebrated Reconciliation Week with our students leading a number of activities in both the Junior and Senior Schools. Students have had the opportunity to learn more about Indigenous culture through participating in rock art featuring Noongar symbols, following a Be A Voice For Reconciliation Trail through the Senior School buildings, tasting some traditional meat such as crocodile and kangaroo, and many more activities.

It has been fantastic to see our students embrace the themes of Reconciliation Week and a big thank you to Indigenous Programme Co-ordinator, Ms Michelle Ninyette, for her organisation and enthusiasm.

      Enjoy the Mid-Term Break

I wish you a very enjoyable and restful Mid-Term Break and on behalf of everyone from the Senior School, we look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday 6 June.

      Kind regards,

      Rebecca Watts
      Head of Senior School

The Townes Take Campdraft 'by the Horn'

In honour of last week's National Boarding Week, we would like to commend some of our boarding students on their participation in WA’s recent campdraft competition. Well done to Annabelle Towne (Year 11) and Emily Towne (Year 10), who represented PLC at a high level. Both students rode beautifully and performed extremely well, with Annabelle now sitting as number one and Emily as number three in Australia for the Australian Bushmen's campdraft and Rodeo Association (ABCRA).

Congratulations to our very talented drafters.

Congratulations to these students on their achievements.
